We knew the Heritage turkeys could definitely fly – but we didn’t know their house could.
We underestimated the winds (overestimated the weight of our turkey house) and it flew away and was destroyed yesterday.
Luckily the Turkeys were not in it at the time and were safe. However, they were in the middle of the field with no shelter in 50+mph winds. So what to do – what to do? Well, you take your electric net fencing and you create a shoot after modifying the sheep barn. Bruce to the rescue. I helped a little.
* Jodee and Chuck: We will be retrieving the rest of what is left of the turkey house from your field soon!
